Ahmad Carroll’s Operation Game Plan uses sports as a vehicle to teach leadership, teamwork, self-discipline, goal-setting and perseverance to student-athletes at his alma mater Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta, Georgia. As a high school athlete Ahmad found himself highly recruited by a number of top college programs but sidelined with a broken leg and poor academic performance he was forced to evaluate his options for his future. Ahmad knows that he is one of the lucky few who realize the dream of playing professional sports and as a result he is committed to helping to equip today’s young athletes with the tools necessary to effectively set goals and develop blueprints for their lives. Operation Game Plan engages students in monthly sessions focused on exposing them to the many options available for successful careers. Some of the session topics include: identifying your strengths, obtaining a career vs. getting a job, setting realistic goals, business etiquette and development of secondary plans.
